Over 151 Million Total Killed Birds, No End In Sight

According to an article by The Guardian published Dec 2022: The World Organization of Animal Health says 140 million birds killed across the world in just one year, including 48 million birds killed in Europe and 53 million in the United States.

The CDC put out a November 3rd, 2022 press release on the destruction of the American food supply:

“Since early 2022, more than 49 million birds in 46 states have either died as a result of bird flu virus infection or have been culled (killed) due to exposure to infected birds.”

Here is a chart of the largest 25 flocks killed off, ranging from 57,000 dead chickens to over 5.3 million dead birds in the largest culling.

Japan: 17,000,000 Killed Chickens This Season

CNN is reporting Japanese authorities have overseen the culling and destruction of 17 million chickens just in this season, citing avian flu mitigation as the reason. This is just one example from this week of the plethera of mass animal cullings around the world.

Argentina: 700,000 Killed Chickens

According to an article by Infobae, an Argentinian agency reported the culling of 700,000 birds because of just 59 claimed “positive cases.”

It’s hard to keep track and count all of the chickens that are being killed by goverments around the world using this avian flu excuse. If we take the World Organization of Animal Health’s claimed 140 Million killed birds figure from The Guardian article from between October 2021 and October 2022 and add the approximately 11,786,973 million more killed birds reported by the CDC since then, our total is up to 151.7 million murdered birds.

We’d have to track the many press releases to home in on a more accurate figure, but it is certainly much higher than this now.
