The UK (79%) is likely to embrace a moment of sense in the light of this data and announce dropping vaccine passports this week. My guess is the deadline for NHS staff to get vaccinated will be extended soon and then dropped altogether. The illogicality of declaring a group of highly skilled people to be a heinous threat to public health, then allowing them to work throughout a peak respiratory season because you need them, only to sack them and exacerbate an already bad staffing crisis later on is #peakhypocrisy and #peakstupidity. Meanwhile Priti Patel will be upsetting Tory voters by allowing asylum seekers to do the jobs of care home workers who have already been sacked due to their vaccination status.

What a total mess. Policies that have achieved nothing but distress and division, scars that will take a long time to heal. Let 2022 be the year politicians finally work out you can’t control nature.
